Our Beliefs
These are the beliefs of Faith Church

Bible

We believe the bible is the inspired and infallible word of God. According to: 2Tim 3:1616 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Holy Trinity

We believe in the Holy Trinity.  The revelation of God as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. According to: Matt 3: 16, 17And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matt28: 19. Go ye therefore, and teachb all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Salvation

We believe all have sinned and salvation is by repentance and faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus by grace through faith and not by works.  According to: Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;1 Peter 1:18-21Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  Rom 5:23;

Deity and Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to: Isaiah 7:14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall calld his name Immanuel; Luke 1:26. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the speaking in tongues. According to: Acts 2:4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.   Acts 19:1-7: 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7 And all the men were about twelve.

The Church

We believe in the local universal church built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, the Lord Jesus being the chief cornerstone. According to: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Petera, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; Acts 5;11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Acts 8;1,13; 15:22;

Giving

We believe in the financial support of the church through the faithful giving of tithes and offerings. According to: Mal 3:8-10Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroyc the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts; 2Cor 9:6,7. But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Divine Healing

We believe in divine health, divine healing and prosperity of the believer. According to: Is 53:4-6 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was woundedb for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed; 3John 2. Beloved, I wishb above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Isaiah 58:8; Prov3: 1,2,8; Mark 16:18;

Rapture

We believe the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, the second coming of Jesus and the millennial reign of Christ on earth. According to 1Thess 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not preventd them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comforte one another with these words; Rev 20:4,5 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.

Final Judgment

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment the righteous will inherit glory and the wicked will be cast into hell with Satan. According to Rev 20:11-15. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hella delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire
